How does Mira compare to Dutch?Updated 3 months ago

Mira offers several advantages over traditional dried urine testing, such as the DUTCH test. By utilizing laboratory‑grade immunofluorescence technology, Mira provides immediate results and enables remote, real‑time monitoring of hormone levels and trends. This makes Mira a convenient and efficient option for both patients and providers.

In contrast, DUTCH testing requires dried urine samples to be collected, mailed, and analyzed in a laboratory, with results typically taking up to three weeks. Mira and DUTCH use different sets of urine metabolites, which means their results cannot be directly compared. While Mira can replace DUTCH cycle mapping, the two can also complement one another. DUTCH provides insights into adrenal function, organic acids, and metabolite pathways, while Mira helps time interventions and assessments more precisely

For example, Mira can accurately detect ovulation so that a DUTCH Complete test can be run exactly seven days post‑ovulation, which is far more precise than the generic use of cycle day 21 (since ovulation timing varies widely among women).

In summary: DUTCH = a detailed snapshot of hormone metabolism, adrenal function, and related pathways.Mira = real‑time monitoring and trend analysis that support ongoing care, intervention timing, and personalized health strategies
